The overall objective of the present Project Bio-SURFEST, is the biological production of high value bio-products from oil waste or technical fats, which represent a low value residue from a great variety of industries like hotels, restaurants, vegetable oil industry, biodiesel producers, etc.
The main technological objectives of the project are:
Development of a fermentation technique for obtaining bio-surfactants enabling the valorisation of waste oils.
Development of an enzymatic catalysis technique which allows the incorporation of the waste oils to the added-value compounds fabrication sector
Working on different applications of added-value developed products
